Note: This text in Oak Heights Neighbours suggests that these three children buried at Russ Cemetery are all children of William Tinney. If that is the case, then we must assume that William and Sarah lived in Haldimand Twp., near the cemetery, in the later 1850s and early 1860s. I have configured these three as early children who died when they still lived there. Both William and his brother John acquired land to the north in Percy Twp. (Conc 2, lots 6 & 7) and lived there at least after 1865, and probably earlier. It seems to me that their children would not have been buried in Russ Cemetery when they lived several concessions to the north in Percy Twp. There is still a lot of guesswork with these families, but the picture is becoming more clear.
